John, I did not pay attention of the Humingbirds feeding on Jewelweed flowers. I'll have to keep an eye on that! And thanks for the visit...(and you too Robin!)
Hi, Andy; I guess that's one of the long-tongued Bumblebees, since it's reaching all the way down inside the flower. Short-tongued ones just chew a hole at the base of the nectary. By the way, have you noticed that Hummingbirds rely on these Jewelweed flowers for fuelling up at migration time? Not too many rich sources of nectar right now, I guess (other than feeders).
